Discord Integration

Send signals directly to a Discord channel using Discord’s webhook feature.

  • A Discord server you have admin access to
  • Permission to create webhooks in your desired channel
  1. Open Channel Settings

In Discord, right-click the channel where you want signals and select Edit Channel.

  2. Go to Integrations

Click Integrations in the left sidebar, then Webhooks.

  3. Create Webhook

Click New Webhook. Give it a name like “CatchIntent” and optionally set an avatar.

  4. Copy Webhook URL

Click Copy Webhook URL. You’ll need this for CatchIntent.

  1. Go to Notifications

Navigate to Alerts → Notifications in your dashboard.

  2. Click Add Notification

Select Discord as the notification type.

  3. Paste Webhook URL

Paste the Discord webhook URL you copied earlier.

  4. Name Your Alert

Give it a descriptive name like “Lead signals - Discord”.

  5. Save and Test

Click Save, then use the Test button to send a sample message.

Discord messages include:

  • Embed title — Signal summary
  • Post content — The original text (truncated if long)
  • Relevance score — Visual indicator of match quality
  • Platform — Where the signal came from
  • Link — Button to view original post

After creating a Discord notification:

  1. Go to Listeners
  2. Edit the listener you want to send to Discord
  3. In the alerts section, select your Discord notification
  4. Save the listener

Create a dedicated channel for signals to avoid mixing with other server activity.

Example channel names:

  • #leads
  • #intent-signals
  • #competitor-mentions

Create separate webhooks for different use cases:

  • One channel for lead generation signals
  • Another for competitor intelligence
  • A third for brand monitoring

Use Discord reactions to coordinate:

  • React with a check when someone claims a lead
  • Use thread replies to discuss response strategies

Not receiving messages?

  • Verify the webhook URL is correct and active
  • Check that the listener is active
  • Ensure the Discord notification is connected to the listener

Webhook invalid?

  • The webhook may have been deleted in Discord
  • Create a new webhook and update the URL in CatchIntent
