Email Notifications
Email is the simplest way to receive signals. No setup required beyond adding a recipient email.

Go to Notifications
Navigate to Alerts → Notifications in your dashboard.

Click Add Notification
Select Email as the notification type.

Enter Recipient Email
Add the email address that should receive signals. This can be your personal email, a team alias, or a shared inbox.

Name Your Alert
Give it a descriptive name like “Lead signals - email” or “Competitor alerts”.

Save and Test
Click Save, then use the Test button to verify delivery.
Email Format
Section titled “Email Format”Each signal email includes:
- Subject line — Signal summary
- Post content — The original text that triggered the signal
- Relevance score — How well it matches your listener
- AI reasoning — Why this was surfaced
- Direct link — Click to view on the original platform
- Dashboard link — View full details in CatchIntent
Connecting to Listeners
Section titled “Connecting to Listeners”After creating an email notification:
- Go to Listeners
- Edit the listener you want to receive emails for
- In the alerts section, select your email notification
- Save the listener
Scheduled Summaries
Section titled “Scheduled Summaries”Instead of (or in addition to) real-time emails, you can set up scheduled digests:
- Go to Alerts → Summaries
- Click Create Summary
- Choose frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly
- Set the time and timezone
- Select which alerts should send summaries
Summaries aggregate signals from the chosen period into a single email.
Managing Email Volume
Section titled “Managing Email Volume”If you’re getting too many emails:
- Raise the relevance threshold — Only receive higher-quality signals
- Use scheduled summaries — Get a digest instead of real-time
- Refine keywords — Remove broad terms generating noise
- Split by listener — Some listeners email, others Slack
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Not receiving emails?
- Check your spam folder
- Verify the email address is correct
- Ensure the listener is active
- Confirm the email alert is connected to the listener
Getting too many emails?
- Raise the relevance threshold on your listeners
- Consider switching to scheduled summaries
- Review keyword performance for noisy terms
