Agent for Funded Companies
Set up an agent that catches ICP buyers right after their company raises.
A funding round means new budget and an unsettled tool stack. This sets up an agent to surface decision-makers at companies that just raised.
Before you start
Your brand profile needs an accurate ICP, the roles in particular. The funding strategy returns people at funded companies who match your ICP, so a vague ICP returns vague leads. See Defining Your ICP.
Steps
Create an agent
Open Agents, create one, and name it for what it does, for example "Recently funded, ICP decision-makers".
Turn on Funding
Enable the Funding strategy. Leave the others off for now so you can judge this one on its own.
Confirm the roles
Check the agent is using your brand's ICP roles. Funding without role targeting returns anyone at the company, which is not what you want.
Activate
Save and activate. The first run starts on the next scheduled tick.
You should see
Within a day, leads whose reason reads like "Company X closed a $YM round" with a person who matches your ICP roles. Warmth will skew high because the fit is exact and the signal is fresh.
If you get nothing for a few days, the ICP may be too narrow to match anyone at recently funded companies. Widen one field (company size or region) and wait for the next run.

- Add Job changes to the same agent once Funding looks good. New leaders at funded companies are a strong pair.
