Agents
An agent is a saved discovery configuration that runs on a schedule and delivers warm leads.
An agent does the work an SDR would do on research: every day it looks for people who match your brand and are showing a reason to buy, verifies them, and delivers them as leads with a drafted opener.
You set an agent up once. After that it runs on its own.
How an agent works
An agent inherits its targeting (ICP, competitors, keywords) from the brand. You choose which strategies it runs. On each scheduled run it:
- Looks for new people matching your targeting and showing a signal.
- Skips anyone already delivered or already reviewed and dropped.
- Verifies each candidate is a real fit.
- Scores warmth and drafts an opener.
- Delivers the result to your Leads list.
People who are clearly not a fit are dropped before delivery and never count toward your plan.
Creating an agent
Open Agents and create one
Give it a name that says what it is for, for example "Funded SaaS, North America".
Turn on strategies
Start with a few. Job changes, Funding, and ICP search are a solid first set. Add competitor and keyword strategies once you have keywords and competitors dialled in. See Strategies.
Confirm targeting and activate
The agent uses your brand's ICP by default. Activate it. The first run starts on the next scheduled tick.
Schedule and how many you can run
Agents run automatically on a daily schedule. The number of agents you can have, how many times a day each runs, and how many leads you receive depend on your plan. See Account and Limits and Quotas.
A common setup:
- One agent covering your core ICP with several strategies. Right for most single-product teams.
- Several agents when you sell to distinct segments (for example, one for enterprise, one for mid-market), or when you run multiple client brands as an agency.
Add agents for genuinely different segments, not for more volume. Overlapping agents compete for the same daily allowance and surface the same people.
Lifecycle
An agent is draft until you activate it, active while it runs, and can be paused at any time. Pausing stops new runs but keeps every lead it already delivered. Reactivate whenever you want.
