Quick Start
Get your first signal in under 5 minutes.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- A CatchIntent account (sign up here)
- An idea of what you want to monitor (leads, competitors, or your brand)
Step 1: Create Your Workspace
Section titled “Step 1: Create Your Workspace”After signing up, you’ll create your first workspace. This is where all your listeners and signals live.
Add your brand information during setup—this helps CatchIntent suggest relevant keywords later.
Step 2: Create Your First Listener
Section titled “Step 2: Create Your First Listener”-
Go to Listeners
Click Listeners in the sidebar, then Create Listener.

Choose What You’re Looking For
Select your goal:
- Lead Generation — Find people looking for solutions like yours
- Competitive Intelligence — Monitor what people say about competitors
- Brand Monitoring — Track mentions of your own product

Select Platforms
Choose where to monitor: Reddit, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Hacker News, and/or Bluesky. Note: X/Twitter and LinkedIn are paid add-ons.

Add Keywords
Enter keywords that indicate what you’re looking for. CatchIntent suggests keywords based on your brand info.
Good keywords for lead generation:
- “looking for”, “recommend”, “alternative to”
- “best tool for”, “vs”, “switching from”
You’ll see a preview of matching posts as you type.

Set Your Threshold
The relevance threshold (0-100) controls how strict the filtering is. Start at 70-75% and adjust later based on signal quality.

Connect Alerts (Optional)
Choose how you want to be notified: Email, Slack, Discord, Telegram, or webhooks.

Create Listener
Give your listener a name and click Create Listener to activate it.
Step 3: Review Your Signals
Section titled “Step 3: Review Your Signals”Once your listener is active, CatchIntent starts monitoring immediately. When it finds a relevant conversation, you’ll see it in your Signals dashboard.
Each signal shows you:
- The original post content
- A relevance score (higher = better match)
- Why it was surfaced
- A direct link to the original post
Click any signal to see the full details and mark it as reviewed or contacted.
