Scheduled Summaries
Not everyone wants real-time notifications for every signal. Scheduled summaries let you receive a digest of new signals at intervals that work for you.
Why Use Scheduled Summaries?
Section titled “Why Use Scheduled Summaries?”| Real-Time Alerts | Scheduled Summaries |
|---|---|
| Every signal triggers a notification | Batched into one digest |
| Good for high-priority leads | Good for general monitoring |
| Can cause notification fatigue | Predictable, lower volume |
| Requires immediate attention | Review on your schedule |
Best for:
- Brand monitoring where urgency is lower
- Team members who prefer batch review
- Reducing notification noise
- Situations where responding within hours (not minutes) is fine

What’s in a Summary
Section titled “What’s in a Summary”Each scheduled summary includes:
- Signal count — How many new signals since the last summary
- Top signals — Highest relevance scores first
- Signal details — Title, content preview, platform, relevance score
- Direct links — Click to view the original post or open in CatchIntent
Connecting Summaries to Listeners
Section titled “Connecting Summaries to Listeners”After creating a scheduled notification:
- Go to Listeners
- Edit the listener you want to summarize
- In the alerts section, select your scheduled notification
- Save the listener
The listener’s signals will be included in that summary.
Multiple Summaries
Section titled “Multiple Summaries”You can create different summaries for different purposes:
| Summary | Listeners | Schedule |
|---|---|---|
| Lead Digest | Lead generation listeners | Daily |
| Brand Roundup | Brand monitoring listeners | Daily |
| Weekly Competitive | Competitor listeners | Weekly |
This lets you review different types of signals at different cadences.
Combining Real-Time and Summaries
Section titled “Combining Real-Time and Summaries”A common setup:
| Listener | Real-Time Alert | Scheduled Summary |
|---|---|---|
| Hot Leads (high threshold) | Slack | None |
| General Leads (lower threshold) | None | Daily email |
| Brand Monitoring | None | Daily email |
| Competitor Intel | None | Weekly email |
This way you’re immediately notified of the best opportunities while still capturing everything in regular digests.
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”Match Urgency to Schedule
Section titled “Match Urgency to Schedule”- Daily for anything you want to act on within 24 hours
- Weekly for monitoring and intelligence gathering
Keep Summaries Focused
Section titled “Keep Summaries Focused”If a summary gets too long, split your listeners or raise thresholds. A 50-signal digest is overwhelming.
Review Consistently
Section titled “Review Consistently”The value of summaries comes from consistent review. Block time on your calendar:
- Daily summary → 15 minutes each morning
- Weekly summary → 30 minutes Monday morning
Use Summaries for Low-Volume Listeners
Section titled “Use Summaries for Low-Volume Listeners”If a listener only generates a few signals per week, a weekly summary prevents alert fatigue from sporadic notifications.
Adjusting Your Summaries
Section titled “Adjusting Your Summaries”Too Many Signals in Summary?
Section titled “Too Many Signals in Summary?”- Raise relevance thresholds on connected listeners
- Split into multiple summaries
- Remove low-value listeners from the summary
Not Enough Signals?
Section titled “Not Enough Signals?”- Lower thresholds on connected listeners
- Add more listeners to the summary
- Switch from weekly to daily to catch signals sooner
